Over 99% of steam decks are delivered with zero problems. Take the day off, stand ready with a bat or 12 Guage and wait for it to arrive. I would install doorbell camera just for this alone, so if it is stolen you have proof. I would get a doorbell camera. If you can prove it was stolen, they will replace it. The only number that would be unique to OP's individual Steam Deck is MAC address but those are a) not guaranteed to be unique b) easily changed.
