The rear wheel abs sensor setup is bad engineering. Rust will accumulate and trip those sensors.Table of Contents. The throttle body is a part of the ESC system, and if any part of the system shows a fault, the ESC is automatically disabled. The problem will probably come back after a while. .

The best way to clear the check engine light is to pull the trouble code, identify and fix the issue and then drive your Patriot around until the module that threw the code recognizes that the problem is fixed.
