Saw an article recommending increasing RAM so I doubled my PC's 8GB RAM to 16GB and it launches and loads decently quickly now. I just clocked it at 1:40 to fully launch starting from DX11 from Larian Launcher. Re-loading saved games takes about a minute. Seems to be a launcher issue. Makes the game basically unplayable.

The loading time is especially long when reloading the game after playing for some time, but even before that, it's pretty annoying. I was wondering if anyone has some quick fix for that. I'm running it on DX11 and it still doesn't solve it. Tweaked some stuff in my Nvidia settings too. Any help would be much appreciated. So I stopped the download, erased the contesnts of the BG3 directory then tried again. It went trhough the Dog `n Pony Show of verifying the (deleted files) then immediately hung at 92% immediately. you should never play on any external disk, if by external you mean connected via USB, definitely not, an internal HDD is faster than an external SSD, unless you use USB-C or thunderbolt, even then, USB can't beat Sata yet i think.
