So I've just gotten back in to FFXIV after a little break and I'm really enjoying it again, however, whenever there's something really hectic going on (AoEing a ton of trash, Ifrit's meteor rain..thing), I can hear sounds cutting out. Just a comment on the sound cutting out for 2-3 seconds on certain channels on all three of my TVs for the past seven months. I might have finally found a solution. I went into the cable box set-up and went to the HDMI settings. You have three settings: L-PCM, Pass Through and Auto.

Control Panel -> Sound -> Find your device from the Playback tab -> Right click, select Configure Speakers -> Select the correct speaker configuration, test and finish the setup wizard. I transferred all my data from my original xbox 360 (the white, 1st edition) and couldn't wait to play with the new 500 GB.
